Omni Bedford Springs Resort welcomes two pets up to 50 lbs for an additional fee of $150 per pet, per stay, and two pets over 50 lbs for $175 per pet, per stay. Resort View Rooms, Deluxe Rooms with Private Porches, and Premier Rooms are NOT PET FRIENDLY. Guests with pets must call (877) 411-3436 prior to booking to verify availability of a pet-friendly room or risk not being able to check in with a pet and/or incurring any associated cancellation penalties. Both dogs and cats are accepted, but pets may not be left unattended. The hotel has 'Pet in Room' door hangers and offers four-legged guests a dog menu with in-house dog treats. There are pet relief areas with waste stations on the property.

First and foremost - skip the complaints to go right to the golf course - incredibly beautiful & one of the best pros/directors/instructors (Mr. Woods) available anywhere. Worth the whole trip. The hotel itself was underwhelming - though there was history, and some lovely porches, the operation seemed more focused on making money than on customer service. The cleaning staff was working very hard in a very large place, but there were problems.
Our $250 room had a nasty moldy shower curtain that had to be replaced. The lounge on the floor (Anderson) had a nice sitting area with a porch (for our family to visit, we thought) but was kept locked unless guests reserved it for $350 (which no one did while we were there). Our table in the dining room (the pink room/Crystal dining/$30 entrees) was swarming with fruit flies & dinner came cold. Apologies were in short supply. BUT there were excellent restaurants in town & the golf course is the real reason to visit.

I've been to a few Omni hotels and they've often felt very historic and relaxing, but this is the only one so far that seems to cater at all to dogs. In fact, they even have a dog menu. Our room was nice and it was cool having a patio, although the patio is shared between all the rooms on that level.
We didn't get to try too much of the food, but the restaurants on the property look very nice and the golf club's restaurant was surprisingly tasty.
