  DO NOT COME HERE

  Last month, my sweet puppy was killed at this facility. Tummyrub was barely one and was perfectly healthy. He didn't deserve to die under y'all's care. He was a less than 5 pound puppy who, by their own protocol, was meant to be in the tiny dog area, but was moved to the "small" dog playroom where the dogs range up to 30 pounds with no limit to the amount of dogs in the room. This was done without my knowledge or consent. The entire time waivers were signed by an employee as the "owner", even though I am the only owner of this dog. Everyone there knew Tummyrub was owned by me, I have plenty of proof for that. He was knocked down by a larger dog in the cramped space and ultimately died. They believe that they are not liable, leaving me to pay the expenses of a dog that's killed. The owner referred to their low settlement offer, not even the market value of my dog, as a "gift". This is insensitive and disrespectful for such a traumatic event. My puppy had just turned one and there was never a thought in my mind he could die in their care but here we are. This has all been an extremely traumatic experience.

  BEWARE!!! Watch the cameras!!!

  Beware. Spend a day watching the cameras before making a reservation for your dog. My pup has been attending their sister facility UltiMutts lately and loves it. When I realized 2nd Family had pool access, I had to make a reservation to give it a try, as my dog absolutely loves the water. After making my reservation, I was flipping through their webcams to get an idea of the atmosphere and witnessed a tall brown haired young man dragging dogs across the room by their collars and necks and out the door in Little Dog Indoor 1 (6/15/23 @ roughly 3:45pm). When I called to cancel my reservation and notify the staff to alert a manager, the front desk receptionist was completely dismissive and hung up on me. If this young man is going to abuse four separate dogs on camera, what is he doing behind the scenes? It’s absolutely horrific that I can’t even trust someone to properly watch and care for my dog. If this were a human child, it would be a completely different story. News flash, there are plenty of us fur parents who love our dogs just as much. This young man continued to work in the Large Dog Playground, which tells me that absolutely no one was notified of his behavior and that his actions will continue without consequences. I also took screenshots of the four dogs that he grossly mistreated. I’m absolutely appalled at his behavior and the fact that when reported it went completely ignored. Do better!

  Best Place For Our Dogs

  Ours babies LOVE going to 2nd Family. The staff is friendly and take such great care of our pups. The groomers do a fantastic job every time. We recommend 2nd Family to anyone looking for grooming, boarding or just daycare fun time for their dogs!
