  Shaved our dog without our consent

  I requested a trim for my Sheepadoodle and specifically requested no summer cut or shaving of any kind. When I picked her up, she was completely shaved and unrecognizable. The groomer neglected to contact me with any issues and instead chose to shave my dog completely without my consent, in October as the temperature is dropping.

  Upon returning home, my dog was so upset and constantly scratching. We took her to the vet, who said she was “appalled” that Pawpular Pets shaved our dog so severely. The vet prescribed an anti-itching medication, and we’ve had to give our dog oatmeal baths to soothe her irritated skin. The vet said it could take up to a year for her fur to grow back completely, and that because she used to have a double coat, it may never grow back the same.

  We reached out to the owner of Pawpular Pets who took no responsibility for their actions. She said she would refund me, but it’s been 3 weeks, and I haven’t received a refund despite following up. She has not responded to my attempt to contact her via email.

  We strongly do not recommend Pawpular Pets, both because they ignored our wishes by shaving our dog, and because they’ve refused to take responsibility for what happened.
