Newk's Eatery on W 23rd Street is a dog-friendly restaurant with several outdoor tables. You can bring Fido along with you to indulge in something from the diverse menu. If you're a fan of fresh-tossed salads, artisan pizzas, toasted sandwiches, kettle batch soups, and desserts, then you've picked the right place. Amongst the popular sandwiches on the menu, you'll find a farmer's market sandwich filled with grilled squash, zucchini, portabella mushrooms, caramelized onions, and Gouda cheese, topped with house-made basil mayo', sliced tomatoes, and fresh spinach. All of their sandwiches are served with a side of coleslaw, soup, or mac and cheese. Please note that table service isn't available, so your dog will need to be tied up outside while you go in to order.

My fiance and I had just flown home for the holidays and had our dog with us so we sat on the patio. Before our food was out (which was fast) a server came out with a dog bowl that had water and a small bag of treats. She even offered to refill the water bowl if it went low. We live in Austin now and no restaurant has been this kind to our dog before! Thank you to Newk's for going above and beyond in service!
