Mine Shaft Tavern, located in Madrid, NM, is a casual eatery that serves up a variety of delicious grub. Fido is welcome to join you at one of their pet-friendly outdoor tables while you enjoy your meal. Start off with a cold beer and an order of the Chips and Guacamole. Next, chow down on the Shaft Brisket Panini with smoked brisket, caramelized onions, roasted red bell peppers, bleu cheese, and tomato on ciabatta. Or go for the Wagyu Steak Salad with local Wagyu atop a bed of roasted red peppers, caramelized onions, bleu cheese, mixed greens, and balsamic vinaigrette. Mine Shaft Tavern is open Monday through Thursday from 11:30am to 8pm, and Friday through Sunday from 11am to 11pm.

My honey and I stopped here with the pup after hiking this morning. They make some fabulous mixed drinks (fresh margarita for me, whiskey mule for him), and we were both very happy (and very full!) with our sandwiches. The pup enjoyed watching the street below behind plexiglass and the band!
