      Great Views and So Pet Friendly

      Grain is m at the Ferry Terminal, so you drive there from town, but it is the best water view in Lewes. They are very welcoming to dogs and there is a nice grassy area to walk. Be aware that they are a busy restaurant and can have long waits. See if you can call ahead for list or go at a quieter time.

      Good luck getting a table

      We have been going to Grain for years since it is within walking distance from where we rent. We went last year during the height of the pandemic and were excited to see that they allow dogs. We brought our dog down this year and attempted to get a table at 8:30 pm on a Saturday night during the middle of August, which is usually a busy time. However, when we arrived it appeared the servers and bartenders were frantically closing the place down early. The place is advertised with closing times of 10 pm, so we were very confused. After waiting at the hostess' desk for a few minutes, I went and asked the bartender if they were closing for the night and all she said was, "We're done. We're closed," without any explanation and was very annoyed that I asked. It's a shame they closed early, because we weren't the only ones waiting for a table, there was also a bunch of other people waiting as well since they just arrived off of a tour boat. It seemed like the servers knew there was a tour boat docking and wanted to close up before the crowd arrived. We ended up at Irish Eyes in Lewes, where they were so excited to see our pup.

      Good food, good views

      We have been going to Grain on the Rocks for some time now. Every time we bring Lola with us! They bring her ice water and always asks if we need a bowl! She gets lots of pets and attention!

      The view is very nice. The food is good and decently priced.
