Nice little stop
Love's Travel StopThis was a great little park that was very clean - only saw one pile someone hadn't picked up. No water, so bring your own.
Pass on this one
Love's Travel Stop - Exit 149This had a tiny fenced area that was filled with poop. Even the surrounding dirt areas were filled will poop. Keep going to a different spot.
Hidden gem
Grants Dog ParkWe were on a road trip across several states and found this gem. We were the only ones there on the first visit and our doggo met a new friend on the return trip (yes, we PLANNED on this for the return trip). It is right next to a city/county maintenance yard, so we saw a police officer gassing up and also city maintenance workers, so it made the remote location feel a bit safer. The water was frozen due to time of year, so bring water in the winter and enjoy!
Mud pit
John Douangdara Dog ParkMust drive down a dirt road to access. While it hadn't rained that much when we visited on a road trip the entire park was a mud pit. We take our dog to parks often and are used to adverse conditions in all kinds of weather, but this was ridiculous. Even the parking lot was a mud pit. The dogs/owners weren't friendly either. This is one we'll be skipping on future road trips.
