Noisy
Best Western Desert Villa InnThe room was clean but very very small. It was on the very end of the motel right next to a main road and across the street from the train tracks. The freeway was in back of the motel. There were three of us plus two dogs and we really had to work around each other in the small room. There wasn’t room for all of our luggage. The noise during the night was horrendous. Trains going by every half hour. Cars zooming up and down the road and freeway traffic just added to it. They did provide ear plugs but they were useless. The sink faucet was broken. If you wanted hot water it was cold and vice versa. The dogs were restless because of all the noise. The check-in clerk acted like he couldn’t be bothered. I wouldn’t stay here again.
Would stay again
Days Inn by Wyndham HolbrookSecond time we’ve stayed there. Very convenient. Plenty of room for the dogs to exercise. Our room was right across the parking lot from a large area for them.
Bad Location
Quality Inn & SuitesAt first glance we thought it was closed. Very run down on the outside. Unkempt parking area, curtains askew. It looked abandoned then we saw someone inside. Went in and had a hard time understanding the person behind the counter (spoke broken English). Room was clean. AC broken running constantly at 55 degrees. I unplugged it. Room smelled of cigarette smoke badly. Curtains were stained and stinky. Beds were comfortable and clean. Price was very cheap.
Old but clean
Howard Johnson by Wyndham Columbus Fort BenningThe room had a very strong smell of cigarettes. It’s a very old motel, been around for a long time. It was very clean but very dated. The shower didn’t work very well but I was able to get clean. There was a good area for the dogs but it was a little walk from our room. The people that worked there were very nice and accommodating. The price was reasonable.
