Fenwick Island State Parkthe signs say no dogs allowed during on season but there were nothing but families with dogs! even dogs off leash. it wasn’t crowded but it was a lovely beach park. for there to be so many dogs, it was really clean and lots of open space .

Their Website Is Deceiving.
Thomas Jefferson's Monticellostates the the grounds are dog friendly but they’re not. the trails are dog friendly. your dog isn’t allowed near open visitor center or near the home itself. we went in the winter and the trails were muddy so bring doggy shoes for your pup or make sure you have wipes

Great Accomodations
Homewood Suites by Hilton Charlottesville VAyes this hotel does have a “fenced in” pet area but it is also fenced in to not let others in. meaning that the fire pits, outdoor seating area, basketball court and bbq area is fenced in but there are designated areas where there are poop bags for your pet. many owners do not clean their dogs waste and it shows. the fence also has spots where your dog can get out let underneath so don’t let them off leash. we brought along a portable crate and it fit In the rooms with plenty of room to spare. the rooms have full sized freezers/fridge/kitchen. I would stay here again with my pup
