Very accommodating staff

Wrangler Inn Mobridge

Yes, this is an older hotel but it is clean and well kept. Beds comfortable. Our needs changed d/t medical issues and staff went above and beyond to accommodate our date changes. Dogs warmly welcomed. The restaurant food was very good and bar staff were friendly. Due to our date changes, we weren't able to keep our outside access first-floor room. First-floor poolside room was surprisingly quiet despite people in the pool. The downside is pool hours are 1000 a.m. to 1030 p.m. (Late open is inconvenient). Poolside rooms are very dark if keep the curtain closed which is necessary if you don't want people peering in the room or dogs watching and potentially barking at people.

Signs stating dogs not allowed on beds (we covered the bed as we do at all hotels). The hotel has issues with hunters and fishing people cleaning guns, equipment and animals in the rooms--so understand their rules. They do provide rags and towels to clean equipment and dogs. We were caught in a heavy rainstorm so used other towels to dry us and dogs--otherwise carpet would be soaked! Used a/c continuously due to not having an outside window. Worked without issue. From walking in town this seems like the nicest hotel in the area.

Many shops and restaurants closed so plan accordingly if planning to eat. We ate at Donnie's--very good food and friendly owner/cook/waiter. As with most places limited hours for hotel restaurant and bar due to not having employees. Front desk staff very friendly despite limited help. The owner came in a couple times while I was at the desk, walking in or out and did not acknowledge me when I tried to talk to him or when checking out. Great place for walking dogs across the street and leads to the Lewis-Clarke trail.

Overpriced

Quality Inn Fairmont

We paid $25 extra for first-floor room, $50 extra for 2 dogs (I don't know what amount is donated to local humane society) which seemed high-priced compared to other hotels. The room was clean but did have an odd odor which dissipated when we turned on a/c. Plenty of areas to walk dogs. Taco Bell, McDonalds on each side of hotel. Giving 4 bones because do accept large dogs and have plenty of green space for walking them.

Dog and People Friendly!

Best Western Graham's

Love first floor rooms, plenty of space to walk dogs. Outdoor pool refreshing and very clean. Beds comfortable. Hot breakfast—sausage, pancakes, etc. Had more camping feel with friendliness of employees and guests. Yes, it’s an older hotel, tub and toilet area small. Very quiet—which surprised me. No animal poop anywhere!!!! Would definitely stay again. Note, I’m rating 5 bones for the dog friendly aspects and overall cleanliness.

Plenty of running room

The Hotel Saratoga Ascend Hotel Collection

Very human and dog friendly. Lots of green space, grassy areas which was a welcome change from some places we've stayed. Well appointed rooms, comfortable accommodations. Clean. We arrived after dark--we were driving from Buffalo, NY and can't remember the route but if you find yourself driving after dark --beware of the roads. They are dark, winding roads. The desk staff informed us there were many deer hits. No hesitation to stay again.

Raises the bar

Candlewood Suites Buffalo - Amherst an IHG Hotel

From registering to leaving absolutely great stay. Kayley and Jackie (hope I have their names correct) are exemplars. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Plenty of areas to walk with dogs. Employees very friendly with dogs. The magnet for the room door is a good idea because it let us know where others dogs were staying. I even met the person and dog across the hall because of the magnet. this hotel raises the bar for IHG hotels quality, cleanliness, comfort and the two exemplary staff.

Exterior is misleading.

The Hub Middletown Red Bank BW Signature Collection

First look at the outside is run down hotel. I am particular about hotels--especially safety and cleanliness (even before COVID) Once inside the rooms are clean and comfortable. There is a large dog area in the back of the hotel but a lot of trash so be careful. Patios outside the rooms. People were enjoying the outside pool area and were not loud. One dog was left alone in a room and when anyone was close it growled and barked incessantly--I do hope it wasn't left alone for long. Other that the other dogs and owners were respectful and stayed to themselves. Evening check-in woman very kind and friendly. Hotel on Route 35 which is major artery into Asbury Park and other areas so is very convenient. Restaurants deliver and menus looked tasty. Outback in front of hotel--To-Go great soup and mashed potatoes. All doors were secure. Patio door had 2 locks. Unfortunately, no screen on patio door to leave partially open. Considered staying a 2nd night but continued our trip. Would stay again.

Was expecting better

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Manchester

From the reviews I was expecting better. The young boys in reception were friendly, helpful and funny. The room did smell and didn't seem clean. I've tried to attach pictures--one of our window, the HVAC unit falling apart, the exterior electric towers and other obstructions. Room needs repairs. First time I've ever seen a no hanging label by the sprinklers! No designated dog area but the business on the other side of the street was closed so we used there grassy and buggy area. A boy and his dad were in the pool, water was clear. Restaurants near by. If I didn't have 2 large dogs I would not feel safe. La Quinta runs the gamut from run down to clean, well designed hotels. Unfortunately, never sure what you will get until arrival.

Clean

Motel 6 Rossford OH

Greeted by friendly person at reception. The pictures on website are accurate. Other than a bar of soap there are no other amenities--remember to bring. your own. We were fine with this especially since the room was clean and a reasonable rate. My husband thought the bed was too hard. There were areas to walk the dogs. Our request didn't show on the reservation so we were on the second floor. The stairs are open (see picture) which many dogs don't like. If you or your dogs have problems with stairs be certain to request first floor. We had a late arrival so no other room available. There was some odd paste or something on the bathroom floor--might have been caulk. Would stay again.

Hotel was unsafe and not to standards

Candlewood Suites Lafayette an IHG Hotel

Before we even settled in our room we were ready to leave. After getting the keys I went to let my husband and dogs in the door by the room. The security access door was open so I shut it. We couldn't open it because it was stuck. I asked for another room and was told that was all that was left. Another desk person tried to open it and couldn't. 30 some year old male, tall and physically fit could not open the door. The other reception person said to kick it--the oncoming person was excited to tell me "You just need to kick it". Well, we requested an ADA room for a reason and neither of us had the ability to kick a door open!! The other person was also surprised to hear this. The clerk refused to refund our money because BringFido went through Expedia and because she was suppose to be off duty. After discussion and her talking to her manager out money will be refunded (haven't seen it yet). So very disappointing because we were hoping for a relaxing night. This is an older hotel than other Candlewood Suites. They do have the pool and whirlpool. The dogs were allowed. I can't comment on the rooms or amenities because we never used them. One bone because of a very unsafe situation and it should never be the expectation to give a hard kick to a door to open!

Dog friendly!

Beach Harbor Resort

Definitely a good place for dogs and their people. I didn't come across any dog poop so people must clean-up which is great! The area is quiet after 10-11 depending on weather and activity. We were there during the week which may make a difference. The rooms are not 5 star but we weren't expecting it but are nice for dog friendly area. 4 stars because Waterfront Mary's is overpriced for not good food. My husband rarely complains about food but this he did. Also, still using plastic cups and plastic straws :(. Staff is incredible friendly and accommodating. Would stay again,

Didn't stay

Embassy Suites by Hilton Hot Springs Hotel & Spa

We were looking forward to staying for 3 days. Drove around an couldn't find a dog area. Concrete and cars and people galore! Only saw 3 disabled parking--no way either of us could've walked the distance from remote parking area to lobby entrance (only entrance). We didn't stay because were told only one way in and out which was through the one bank of elevators and through front lobby. This didn't feel safe if need to evacuate. Also, noisy and high activity level and music playing which exactly what we didn't want. We would've been on 6th floor. Decided to cancel which the hotel manager obliged without charging us. Granted we were exhausted from drive and I had a major paper to finish. Hotel just didn't feel safe in the event of emergency but we didn't see any of the rooms only lobby area.

Worth the stay and driving to avoid congested downtown areas

La Quinta by Wyndham West Memphis

Rooms nice size. Lots of green space but not sure how much will be left if continue to build in the area. Dryer was broken but was labeled. Quiet rooms. Only hotel with no animal testing hand sanitizer!!! WooHoo--wish all the products were no animal testing. Pantene still uses companies that do test on animals :(. Is on a one-way frontage/service road. If you need something stop before you arrive because it's difficult to drive to places and West Memphis is considered high crime--had no safety concerns @ hotel. And, snack area is limited and only plastic bottles. Pool small and had many kids playing so we didn't use it but they were having fun!! nice patio area with furniture. Short drive to visitor areas. Worth staying and driving to areas for the amount of green space, size of rooms and avoiding congested city areas. Did have left over kibble behind a door which questions how well the rooms are cleaned and sanitized.

Spacious rooms, great breakfast

Comfort Suites Mount Vernon

The best we stayed during our 8 day trip. We had 2 queen bed suite. The rooms were clean, beds comfortable. A small fenced area but also lots of green space. Very receptive and friendly staff. Lobby had delicious, cold lemon water. Rooms quiet. $35/pet seems a little high but if keeps the quality and cleanliness of hotel it's worth it. Our room was close to the lobby which was ingress and egress to take our dogs out but no-one seemed to mind. First floor is pet floor. Pool open 24 hours--with adults only after 1100 pm!!

Be Alert

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Hot Springs

Front desk staff friendly, accepts big dogs, beds comfortable and that's where it ends. Way overpriced for quality. In horrible disrepair--as someone mentioned the furniture should be replaced, screens broken, window broken, air conditioner did not work but the fan did circulate the air since we couldn't open the window. Room was not cleaned--our dog found a cow or pig hoof, some left over kibble, conditioner was half full as was the lotion, no shampoo. The back door would not close and lock unless you pushed it closed. One employee had an excuse for every concern "that's how the bottles always are" "the lock doesn't work when it gets wet". etc. No security. One person was incredibly stoned on some drugs and tried every single room door to enter, guests had to direct her!! My husband tried to order food at the bar/restaurant in front of the hotel and overheard a conversation between a pimp and 2 girls telling them to earn more money and get on the streets and work harder, comparing one to the other. Did have small grassy area for pets. Garbage overflowing in dumpster. I would not feel safe if woman unless had alert and protective dogs and/or able other person with me. I did report issues while at hotel but was clerks said couldn't do anything because manager on vacation. The night person on Saturday did offer to change rooms but my husband over heard others reporting similar disrepair so doubtful changing rooms would be helpful. Besides, I already sanitized it. I did contact LaQuinta /Wyndham directly because the website wouldn't accept my report. I gave 2 bones because they accept big dogs.

Accepts big dogs!

La Quinta by Wyndham Tulsa Broken Arrow

Beds comfortable, room looked like it was remodeled--crooked cabinets, doors but it was clean. Small but useful pet area. Easy location to find. Appreciate they accept large dogs so I don't want to review same as I would if reviewing a people only hotel. I would stay here again.

Friendly staff

Super 8 by Wyndham Cedar Rapids

Upon entering we were met by 2 women in the lobby who instructed us to dial 0 for (can't remember name) because he was doing laundry. Waiting over 10 minutes, she tried to find us a room but the pet friendly rooms were gone but she assured us they would find a room. By this time, we would've been happy to go somewhere else. Two men did find us a room which sufficed. The room was clean, I even check around picture frames--no dust. First floor is down 4 steps. Two double beds, rooms are small and cramped. People in the room above us were stomping almost all night. (Reminded me of a commercial). Constant activity in the hall and outside--the dogs were on edge. Many people there staying for months due to working from storms--all ethnic groups--so they were at home. All were friendly and helpful. Outside the hotel DIRTY!!! I had no idea Cedar Rapids was so dirty---garbage every place you looked. The back of the hotel I saw people dumping their garbage in the dumpsters. also the tv didn't work--only channel was Home Shopping. If it wasn't for Deb and a couple other people I would give 1 bone but she was great.--An ambassador for Super 8--corporate should give her a raise. (I am not joking). Didn't feel safe due to the area not the hotel.

Best so far!

Wamego Inn and Suites

This is a clean, comfortable hotel with friendly , accommodating staff. Felt very safe. Plenty of room to walk dogs. The only reason for 4 bones is no elevator, which both adults recovering from injuries did take some effort. (We did not think to ask for first floor when making reservation). If this was a chain we would not hesitate to stay or return to this hotel. BTW--there is an off-leash fenced dog park in Manhattan which is is a very short drive from the hotel.
