Overrated
Winnemucca Holiday MotelAlways like to support small locally owned motel/hotels even when overpriced like this one but we’ll not stay here again nor recommend it. The room was not clean. I discovered a sticky spot and wiped it up with a wet towel. I am convinced it was urine, pee from a prior guest. The towel was yellow and black when I was done. Then a while later I discovered another pee place across the room. It was too late to find another room so we just avoided the stains. To top off our stay they checked in some drunks to the room above us at 12:30 and we had to listen to their arguments and clomping around for the next hour and a half. Nope, we shall not return.

Pets tolerated
Best Western Plus Overland InnPets allowed. I wouldn’t call it pet friendly, just tolerated. The premium, at $30 a night for even a small dog, is on the high end and seems more a penalty then a cost of services.

Size Matters
Best Western Plus Gold Country InnSize does matter and our room at the Winnemucca Best Western Plus was big. With two king beds, a kitchen area with a full size range and refrigerator, and a dining counter, we had all the room two people and a small dog needed to feel relaxed and relieved. We stayed two days on our way to a BnB in Lake Tahoe and the hotel room was better than our cottage BnB.

Not first or even second class
Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Park City an IHG HotelRoom was not cheap then they add $50 for the dog. I knew it but thought the room would at least be nice. It was just so so. Nothing for the dog premium, no treats, no bed, not even a convenient grassy area. Placed us near the pool so doors were banging until the pool closed. Of course the dog wanted to bark each time they banged. Could have been worse is best I can say.
