Location not great
Red Roof Inn Fredericksburg NorthThe place was clean. The staff was nice. Entry to the place is difficult due to location. You have to either make a u-turn or navigate around several streets. The area for walking dogs is good (not enclosed). But as with most places some lazy dog owners do not pick up after their dog… disgusting people! Easy access ONTO 95 but not easy off. For the price it is good enough for one overnight. I would stay again if no other options are available. Food is hard to find but front desk has menus for delivery.

Excellent place to stay
SureStay Hotel by Best Western ManningThe staff was friendly, the room was VERY CLEAN AND QUIET. I could not ask for a better place for me and my dog. Signage is confusing as the place has a long entry and the sign is difficult to see as it is next to a place with a similar name. I highly recommend the Sure Stay and I would stay again without hesitation.

Comfortable bed, nice staff
Best Western Plus Holiday Sands Inn & SuitesThe breakfast was great. The fenced dog run was great except for the lazy dog owners who didn’t clean up. The room was not very clean. I turned on the light in the bathroom and a roach crawled from under the towels, then there were two more. Furniture needs replacing. Floor needs replacing. NOT EASY TO 95 Southbound. I don’t recommend the place and won’t stay again.

One night is okay
Red Roof Inn SanteeThe room was clean, the dog walk area was convenient, refrigerator was noisy but for an overnight on the road the place is good. The exterior of the building is dated. The TV worked if you could figure out the 30+ buttons. No HBO as advertised and no Wi-Fi. The staff was friendly and breakfast was available in the lobby. A nice start to the day. I would stay again with the dog but for myself, I would go someplace better.
