- AmandaMar 16, 2023Far too many aggressive dogs
My dog was attacked at this park, unprovoked, by a smaller dog. we have witnessed so many aggressive dogs her, and the county doesn’t do anything about it. Terrible and rude dog owners who ignore their dogs, or are high and have no clue how to manage their dogs. We will never go back, and have decided to join Meadow Run.
- KimSep 3, 2022So safe!!!
it’s all fenced in. Two big areas for dogs( the areas are rotated through year so grass can grow back). There is a small dog area and also a fenced in trail. Cost is just $5 a day for park access

We have been twice in the last 3 days with our 6 month old husky/lab mix and she has absolutely loved it! Not only is it teaching her great social skills, but we’re able to get some of her endless energy out! Being half husky, she loves to run but our yard is small. The wide open spaces are perfect for her! I also absolutely love the wooded portion that is fenced, such a great place for her to sniff around and explore. The park seems to be kept up very well and is completely worth the $25 annual fee, especially since that allows you access to the other Kalamazoo County parks which includes River Oaks Park That also has a dog park and an amazing splash pad for kids!

This dog park has everything... wide open spaces, friendly dogs, an affordable price and a really kind community of regulars. Our puppy was welcomed and loved and admired very lovingly each time we’ve gone. It’s a bit of a drive for us from Kalamazoo, but we are always thrilled when we go.

This is an awesome park and my pups especially enjoyed the wooded off leash area but I have children who are 3,4,and 7 and they have a a rule that no children under 8 may be in the dog park areas. It was definitely disappointing for my kids and husband who had to wait in the car after driving from Battle Creek 45 min.
- KimMore than a year agoGreat park but beware of aggressive dogs
Prairie View is a steal at $25 a year. 3 parks and an enclosed wooded area by lab mix loves to run through. That $25 also gains you access to any Kzoo County park. However, we have always ran into aggressive dogs with owners that apologize repeatedly but do not leave. If you have a puppy or a submissive dog I would not recommend this park.

Why would someone pay 60+ a year to go to the downtown dog park when they can pay just 25 bucks a year to get access to this lovely park?! There are two main dog parks, one for small dogs and one for all dogs. Both are very large and grassy. The large one has a little hill, some trees, and some sand. There is a lovely water spicket in the large dog park. There is an enclosed wooded area which is just amazing, never been to a dog park like it before! The wooded area also connects to the large dog park. Just wish the wooded area connected to the beach so dogs could practice swimming. Dogs aren't allowed at the beachfront where children play.

Our dog, Anni, loves this park! She begs to go every morning.
- DanielleMore than a year agoFabulous!
We were visiting the area and this park was fabulous for our 8 month old puppy. 4 acres of trees and grass and 3 acres of a fenced wooded area with trails. He had a ball with all the dogs, but especially with his new BFF, Koby. We've never been to such a great, clean dog park. Kudos to the county for this park. A model for other areas.

While visiting today for the first time with our eight month old dog, we had a blast. Our dog loved running through the woods with her new best friends and playing with them in the open field. She had six acres of a fenced in area for her and the other dogs to play. A yearly pass only costs $25, for not only the dog park, but the whole county park. Well worth it. We're definitely coming back. We hope to see you and your dog here soon!

Always clean and well maintained. $25 per year is a good value. The hiking trails in the woods is a nice touch. It would be nice to extend it to the water front.
- MichelleMore than a year agoGreat Area to Run & Play
This park has two large sections -- one open and grassy, the other wooded. Both are great and my dogs had a blast in the wooded section! Best park I've been to so far.

This park lives up to its name for sure. The dogs and owners are friendly and responsible. The free-run area is great, lots of grass, shade, and benches. The 3 acres with hiking trails is awesome! The dogs just love it!

I have been to a lot of dog parks and this has to be the best one i have found. all owners are courteous of others and the park is consistently clean. also the price is very reasonable compared to other parks.

took my dog here today. He Loved it. it is a great area for your dog to have off leash fun. Great area all fenced in, and plenty of space for dogs to run and play.
