I and my two dogs, blue heelers, LOVE this beach. We have been here several times, different times of the year. We have NEVER had any issues with other dogs or owners. We have encountered in leash as well as off leash dogs and have never had anything but a wonderful time here. Which is why this beach will continue to be our vacation destination.

It's absolutely gorgeous here and it is my dogs favorite place to be majority of the time you don't even run into any other dogs since there is so much space to spread out.

Please be aware of your surroundings when and if you go to Clam Beach. In october of 2011 I was attacked by a dog while walking mine. The owner didnt have her dog on a leash and failed to grab her dog and put him on a leash even after I ahold her that I didn't want her dog coming near me or my dog. Long story short her dog went after mine and I intervened so I was bitten instead. This was strike one for the beach. In February of 2012 my partner and I were walking our Yorkie, another couple on the shore were walking a Pitt bullied leash, the pit bull then spotted my little baby and within seconds the Pitt bull had ran over and attacked my little Yorkie. As a result my Yorkie is now dead. Obviously I will never return to this beach. Again PLEASE BEWARE! If you go here know that people are very trusting of their pets and the dogs are often off leash. I would recommend not even taking your pet to this beach. P.S. The Sherriff is not very helpful during dog attacks.
