Jess Martin County Park

Jess Martin County Park is a dog-friendly, 9-acre community recreation area in Julian, CA. This park allows leashed dogs to walk with their owners on the exercise path and romp off-leash on the fenced-in T-ball field. Fido is only permitted on the field from the beginning of August to the beginning of February when games are not in progress. Visit Website

Disappointing
As a local I am very disappointed with the only so called “ dog park” locally, as it really is just a dirt softball field that can only be used for dogs once the weather gets too hot to have a dog on a dirt field- After August. -Because before August it is used for softball. When I went it wasn’t being used for softball. It wasn’t being used at all (early June) but the gates were locked open anyway so you couldn’t use it as a dog park, so it sat unused for the couple hours I was there. I don’t see why they couldn’t leave the gates open, dog owners could close the gate, let their dog have a romp, leave if players showed up to use it. That way SOMEONE could use it if not a game being played. $Hence the one bone review.
