- HeidiSep 10, 2023Great place for dogs.
We took Daisy to Seabright State Beach and she enjoyed her beach experience. There wasn't too many dogs but she loved the birds. She is still afraid of the water and the waves but hopefully down the road she will enjoy the ocean.

Large Beach area… we went during the 4th of July weekend - - so very busy, but still had a good time! lots to see and lots too sniff 🐶 free parking around the neighborhood, might have to walk a few blocks, but worth it.

What a great place for us a dogs. We recently adopted a rescue or did it adopt us.... Only have had her for a month and decided to do a road trip since she has become so adapted to us. Coming to Sacramento from Nevada the pup has never seen sand or ocean. Trying to expose her to new things. She had a great time on the sand playing catch. The waves had to take some getting used to. Few people did not have their pets on a leash but soon did when we explained we are unsure of our girls history and disposition with other dogs.

United StatesWe ended up going to twin Lakes State Beach instead. Small beach, got away with the dogs off leash for a little while

They do semi-allow dogs off leash. They will have one beach patroller let everyone know when the tide is coming in, in which put your dog on the leash, otherwise as long as you have a friendly, well-behaved dog, no one say anything. The beach does have a drop off. And the drop off is the breaking point on the beach so watch your dog closely!!
