Grassy area for picnics or exploring. Many different beach entrance points ensures you and your pup can swim without distractions. There was clear water to the bottom at the shoreline and we were able to walk out 20+ feet and still touch the bottom.

my dog and I enjoy going swimming at dog friendly parks. this was our first time to this park and it wasn’t what I was expecting but we
ended up having a great time! there is no fenced in area for the dogs to go off leash but there are areas across from the boat ramp area. there is a trail that leads from the parking lot to the shore line where you can set your stuff down and go jump in the lake and swim. it’s the perfect spot to go to if you and your dogs want to go swimming and play fetch into the lake! it’s clean water and clean on land too. highly recommend this dog friendly area :) - RonMore than a year agoPleasant afternoon spot
This is our second choice of watering holes to take our dog. It can be fairly busy on weekends but it's easy to get to and only about 20-25 minutes from Roswell.
It's a peninsula on the lake that's wooded and grassy. Most people don't seem to mind if you take your dog off leash as long as you keep an eye on them. There was only one area which I found that was 'beach like' (pebbles) for the dog to wade into the water. Otherwise it's rocky shoreline.
Nice area for packing a picnic and spending the afternoon.

Tidwell Park has a fairly large grassy area for chasing balls and playing. The beach is small but offers a gentle entry to the water. We're excited to go back when it's warmer. A few ill-mannered folks had visited and failed to clean up after their dog but overall, not bad.
