I went to this dog park about 7 years ago. I brought my puppy with me who was about 3 months old. Not only did he get attacked, but the owner did absolutely nothing about it. Unless you count her saying "oh she's just playing" as a behavioral correction. Another reason why I will not be returning is the water. It is disgusting. My pup was just investigating the water and took a little sip; I stopped him immediately. He got Giardia and the next day was spent at the vet, not fun for either of us. He was pretty sick for a few days. I am not going to take that chance again.

Drove by and decided on another option. The “park” is mostly a retention pond encircled by maybe 20 feet of grass and dirt. Went further into the park onto the Laurel Hill County Park trail system - nice wide trails, dogs on leash.

Upon reviewing this park online I saw no mention of the BIG ALLIGATOR warning sign as you enter the dog park. You would think that with all the technology of fencing, it would not be a concern!!!

Trees for shade and benches for moms and dads. There's a little pond for dogs to cool down and water with a bowl for hydration. High traffic area with lots of dogs coming and going.
