    Turtle Bay Open Space

This is our favorite stop when driving from Seattle to Southern California and affords my dog (and me) a great chance to get out and move around. The park encompasses a sizable area with several trails and access points to the river. There are picnic tables scattered throughout the park well as a water fountain, poop bag dispensers and porta-potti when you first enter. We have nothing but positive encounters with the other people and canines we have encountered. Easy access from I-5 and a variety of food and fuel options nearby make this a great stop for travelers.

Great park! But so much poop!!!

Great space, on the water with access points to slower water, off leash ok, shade for hot days, nice little loop for a short walk or laps, BUT SO MUCH POOP. Despite signs to pickup poop and bags and trash cans near the parking lot, there seem to be different rules here for picking up after your dog??? Watch where you walk! -1 bone for the dog owners who aren't picking up after their pooches.

    Great park for dog freedom!!!

This park has it all...a place to run, to socialize, get a drink, get in the river, and see other dog lovers. Good exercise for me, too.

    Not at Sundial Bridge

Out-of-towners note this is Turtle Bay East and is a totally different area than Turtle Bay (where doggos are not allowed)
Access Bechelli Lane off Cypress Ave. Go north and dog park is at the end of the road.

    Perfect off leash area

great area to walk around and have your dog off leash. The river runs through here. Perfect break morning or evening for my dog to come here. all the other off leash dogs are really really friendly here too.

Nice place for dog to explore

we stopped here as we passed through Redding. Because it was a Saturday afternoon, the main entrance and bridge were quite busy. But we headed down the trail along the river and had a nice walk. The park next to Turtle Bay Park (where the parking lot is) has “no dogs allowed” signs, but turtle bay park itself allows dogs.

    Great

Someone said no off leash, but it is. Beautiful walk next to the river. Th parking area is further down the road from where the app takes you though.

Nice Open Area, Not Too Crowded

This place has lots of trails to explore, access to water, and off-leash allowance. Good for big dogs and small alike.

    No Off Leash Park

This is a fantastic park but it is on-leash only. The closest off-leash park is Benton Airport.

    great fun.

there is so much room for your dog to run.
The scenery is beautiful. It goes by the Sacramento River. Your dog has easy access to get wet.
Really nice place. Not very busy during the week.
So far everyone has been good with their dogs.
