This is a nice dog park. Though improvements can be made, it’s a good place to bring your dog. Lots of trees so shady in summer. Water is available seasonally and poop bags abundant. I’ve been going almost every day w our energetic pup for 7 months now and have met many decent people and lots of happy dogs.

This dog park is always hit or miss. Sometimes I’m there for hours with no issues and other times I can’t even make it past the gate. I usually scope it out from the parking lot before heading in but sometimes it’s difficult since my dog gets so excited and I feel awful getting him excited and then leaving.
It seems like 70% of the people that come to this park are oblivious and believe their dog can do no wrong, 20% freak out if another dog even play bites theirs and then 10% are actually decent people that pay attention and aren’t afraid to admit when their dog isn’t behaving.

It’s a decent place if your dog is numb to all communications from other dogs. The small side is too small and the people don’t stop complaining no matter what! The large dog side has people bringing their dogs with bountiful amounts of energy that don’t listen and can’t take social cues from other dogs to leave them alone!
I only bring my dog if I have literally no other option. Not worth it AT ALL

I go here regularly, and it is really enjoyable, but it has some problems. First off, there is no water source, and when your dog is running around, they need to stay hydrated. There is not much grass, just some sand. I continue to go here, even though It has these problems. My dog likes interacting with other dogs, and dividing the big dogs and small dogs is a good idea. I just feel that Brookhaven has not been putting enough effort into making this a great park.

As of July 5th 2015 this dog park is loaded with poisen ivy.
When I contacted the town about removing it, they told me it was too dangerous for their employees. But it seems it is not their problem . - MaryMore than a year agonot a good job

Was passing through town and stopped by for a little. Nice size dog park with lots of trees. Negatives: no grass, only dirt and pine needles. No water either. Would not want to bring my dog there on a rainy day.

Brand new dog park just opened in July 2014! On Boyle Rd about half a mile north of Rt 25. Across the street from Donna Ct. Lots of space for a large pooch to run around in. There are chairs and benches. Took a bone off because there isn't any water source. We'll definitely be frequent visitors of this park!
