- TanjaAug 12, 2024Horrible - I would give no bones if possible.
We are visiting from out of town and came here for a break for our dog. This place is horrible. All concrete with dilapidated agility obstacles. It’s an accident waiting to happen.

Amazing and fun Park for the dogs! The amenities are cool to work on agility skills. Super original, we love it
- ToddMar 13, 2019In one word. . . . “puptopia”
More safety features,, amenities and photo ops than any other dog park.

This dog park has it all - plenty of space, agility equipment, toys, first aid kits, and a water sprinkler/pool.
- JessicaAug 3, 2018Awesome! Wishing we lived in Chicago!
I'm so very glad that we picked Jackson Bark as the park to visit in Chicago! It was by far one of the very coolest dog parks that I have ever encountered. Sarabi, my 4 month old Siberian Husky had a blast running around on all the different 'stations' for lack of a better word. Every 'station' or piece was made out of scraped materials or donations. There are 2 watering stations and a huge homemade fire hydrant that spills into doggie pools. Sarabi had a blast splashing around in those pools and likely more fun doing that then trying to play at a crowded and not-fully-enclosed beach. There are plenty of bags to clean up after your pet and even if your pet is having runny issues, Todd has a solution for you using cardboard that is kept on-hand for those embarrassing moments. The ONE AND ONLY dog park that has a first aid station and OH BOY! All dog parks should have something like it! As dog owners, we all know that there are times when your dog is great and so is mine, but they hate each other and incidents occur. What a great idea to have some basic first aid at the least for those little 'dust-ups'. I was extremely impressed and wish Jackson Bark or something like it was here in Ohio near me. Stick tight Jackson Bark! We're with ya, Todd!

Hands down, the best dog park in Chicago.... but don't take my word for it; compare all the dog parks by size, features, amenities, photo-ops, community events and overall review site ratings.

This was my dogs first time going to this wonderful dog park. Jackson Brak was the perfect place for my puppy to make some new friends and be trained in a safe environment. It was clean, very large and plenty of obstacles for my dog to run through. He and I can't wait for the next visit.
- NathjaMore than a year agoawesome dog playground
This dog park is not just a dog park, it's like dog heaven! It's kind of a dog playground. It has agility in the whole park, it's awesome! We were there from 8 am to 2 pm before flying back - hoping to get our dog tired out for the flight. And it was a weekday so not a lot of dogs were there, but it didn't matter! Our pup had so much fun playing, climbing and running. Most dog parks are kind of boring if there aren't any other dogs, here it's not a problem at all! Highly recommend this place, can't even imagine how awesome it must be when there's a lot of dogs

A beautiful location with lots of room, features and amenities, that you're not likely to find anywhere else. A truly unique dog park that has many great photo ops.
From spring through fall they have open playdates everyday (weather permitting) 7-9am and 5-7pm. Like, share and follow on social media for news of their special events, last summer they had a 'Pupicnic' and in October a 'Howloween Pawty'.
- R. S.More than a year agoGreat South Side Dog Park
I still can't believe such a great dog park like this is available on the south side. The park is spacious with tons of the normal dog park amenities I'm accustom to, but the park's agility features really raise the bar. The attention to detail with all the different obstacles is really refreshing.

Dog heaven, this park has so much for dogs agility, spaces to run, and also a clean park.
I'm very please with the park and I take my dogs very often 2 or 3 times weekly. - Don BetustakMore than a year agoMore than a 'Dog Park', a 'Pup Amusement Park'.
My Noah loves this place and i in turn do too. Weather permitting, we go every morning and evening. Most of the dogs and their puparents are very social/friendly. In the event, no dogs are present to play with, there are a large variety of toys and agility features to keep your pup busy til someone shows up. For the puparents, there is free parking in the nearby parking lot, a water fountain, a community board and active community online via their website/social-media-sites... plus they have many benches and sun shades to sit under. 'Dog Park' is an inadequate descriptor for Jackson Bark, 'Pup Amusement Park' would be more like it.
- JaciMore than a year agoA Chicago Pup Paradise
Wiggly Field, Puptown, and Hamlin--you name it, we've been there, and while it's true that some have been better experiences than others, they've all shared one undesirable trait: they're immeasurably inconvenient, wedged at the far northern corners of the city, leaving us with no other options than to cut a nice fat slice of our weekends for a long trek for a half-hour of playtime for our pup...until now!
Jackson Bark, when we first heard of the new dog park/agility course at the southern edge of Hyde Park, seemed far too good to be true. 10 minutes from our apartment? Gasp! Full of well and lovingly constructed fun agility obstacles for all stages of interest? Really?! But it's true.
Since first finding out about Jackson Bark at the brink of spring, we've been taking Lily as frequently as we're able. This week, while some friends were away, we took their pooch as ours for a few days, and these two couldn't have a better Sunday afternoon getting into all sorts of fun with The Bark's obstacles and toys before enjoying a nice meander around Bobolink Meadows adjacent to the park.
Word is still steadily spreading around the neighborhood about the new pup paradise, but I give it no time at all before everyone you see, regardless of where you are in the city, is telling you about this perfectly appointed place. Convenience aside, Todd has truly crafted the ideal dog park right at home in the south side, and we could't be more grateful. Not only a place for dogs, Jackson Bark is yet another exemplum of the community-oriented growth our neighborhood has seen and more than any other dog park, I'd say this place is just as much as a meeting place for new friends as it is for the pups.
Dog parks everywhere would do well to take a tip or two for this gem of a spot. Thanks, Todd and Charlie, for all your efforts into growing a place we've truly come to love.

GREAT DOG PARK! I can't thank the man that made this place a reality enough!!! Buddy Guy absolutely loves running, playing and socializing here. A much needed area for dogs on the South Side! Can't wait to see Jackson Bark grow with the pup families in the area!
- Todd AgostoMore than a year agoA Dog Park with Everything
A great agility course, that has hoops, tires and a tunnel to hop through, a teeter-tauter, a walk, weave bars and a hurdle fence plus the typical dog park amenities; water, bags and toys... with free parking and is well lit at night, lights turn on at dusk.
