- BrandyJun 9, 2023Our dog loved it!
All the trails were well kept and marked. unfortunately, there’s a lot of construction going on, working on extra parking spots, which this place desperately needs. After hiking 6 miles, our dog loved taking a dip in the water. it was extremely crowded when we visited (Wednesday June 7) so I’d suggest getting there early
- Nyla and ZimaMore than a year agoPerfect Place for Outdoorsy Pups
We found this gem a year ago and keep coming back only to have a better and better time. They recently added in three new hiking trails and appear to be gearing it up more and more to compete with Ruffner Mountain and other nearby areas. I would not be surprised that they end up adding a dog park area in addition to the open setting in the future due to other pet owners I am now seeing regularly there.
We have slowly taught our girls how to swim. There are some off-limit areas that are perfect for small dogs at the starting point to the park. It used to be our "spot" but now our pups are more confident and are braving the deeper and faster moving waters down in the middle of the park where there is more human and other dog activity as well. They are no longer embarrassed lol.
