- ryanDec 30, 2023Great park!
Cooper and I love this park, and it’s people. We frequent every Saturday and Sunday, holidays as well. The bark park has cultivated a large number of wonderful people and pets who are there often and do care for the park and take care of it, i.e. sweeping the rocks off of the walking path, picking up after other people’s dogs and consistently dumping out old water and replacing it with fresh water. We love the pools in the summer and the tennis balls allllll year round. Occasionally there are some scuffles but for the most part all of the regulars have a good handle on their dogs and it is a nice fun environment for your dogs to socialize!
- MarkJan 29, 2022Unsafe for dogs, unfriendly and unwelcoming for humans
The City of Meridian and this dog park are unsafe and unwelcoming to dogs. The City allows dangerous animals to frequent the park, both the four legged kind that will cause your animals severe injuries, and the two legged kind that have grown up and not learned to keep their hands and their feet to themselves. The City of Meridian, Idaho and its Storey Bark Park should not be considered safe, nor friendly. Most people are very unwelcoming to newcomers and strangers, and many are violent towards animals. They do not clean up after their own dogs, not only at this park but another dog park more than six miles away. Also at that other dog park most are just as unwelcoming and unfriendly. There is absolutely no way any one should consider the City of Meridian Idaho dog friendly and dog safe.
- LaurieAug 31, 2021Great dog park!
This has been the best dog park by far on our road trip. Our dog loved playing with the other dogs and the owners were really nice. Plenty of space to run and lots of balls to play with. One warning is that if your dog loves water, there are two tubs filled with water that some of the dogs like to lay in. Just expect that you will have a wet dog.
- MikeJun 29, 2021As Good As You Have Any Right to Expect
Large, with different surfaces, a walking path, and even a small hill, this is any roadtripper's dream. The only drawback is that there's not a tin of shade to be had, but no lost marks b/c it's just a function of letting the plethora of trees grow for another year or two. Best thing about Boise, IMO.
- AlissaApr 7, 2021Don’t recommend
I took my 6 month old puppy here. The dogs came up. Sniffing is fine. Biting the neck is not. The old men there wouldn’t help me get that biting dog away from my pup. They actually said that biting is how they talk. Total BS. Must be an Idaho thing to not take responsibility for your pets behavior. Boo!!!

Loved our visit to Storey Bark Park as we were passing through the area visiting friends. Large, clean area with friendly dogs and owners. We will definitely visit again when we are in the area.

- JeremyDec 17, 2018Excellent Facility
We stopped mid day while passing through Boise. There are gravel, grass, and artificial turf. Many agility stations. Very clean facility. At lunchtime there were many well behaved dogs. Would certainly stop here again.

This is one of the best dog parks we've seen. Grass, walkways, clean and large.

Our 3 greyhounds had a great time at this park. We found it was easy to get to from the Interstate. We were driving a motor home towing a a car, so parking is always an issue. There was a large parking lot right across the street that belongs to some business that had plenty of room to accomadate us. There was even a kiddie pool there so the boys could take a dip. It was a great break for them in our trip.

Park is exceptionally clean with grass and water. Areas are separate for large and small dogs. People are friendly. Driving thru Meridian traveling, we always visit this park. We have 2 goldens. It can get a little crowded at certain times.

I love this park. However, there is absolutely no one, including the cops (even though they are right down the street) who will help you if you or your dog get attacked by a dog or a person. The people for the most part are great, however, there are people that bring their dogs here that pay no mind to the rules. I have seen dogs been attacked several times over a period of months. I have also had a woman attack me because I brought my service dog into the small dog area. I was called names and people had to woman up and put her in the car. The cops did nothing even though the entire event was on tape. Park is great, people suck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I would move here for this dog park alone! This is a truly well thought out park! Plenty of grass to chuck balls and play tag! A really nice sidewalk that goes all the way around the park. There's a covered patio/picnic area and an area for small dogs. A gorgeous park that you cannot miss!
