Easy to find parking. You can picnic, walk / run or bike. You will need to keep your dog on leash (not just the rule but plenty of distractions and dangers such as squirrels, gophers and coyotes.) It can get pretty windy if you're sensitive to that. Terrain is pretty flat. I have seen people fishing and also letting their dogs into the water - not sure whether the latter is allowed.

Quarry Lakes is a great place for all dogs! There are many easy trails to explore with your buddy and lots of wildlife to take in. Sunrise and sunset is my favorite time to go but it is nice anytime of day! Dogs are required on leash and I’ve never seen the park that busy. Park rangers are out and about quite a bit and the EBRP police occasionally patrol as well. I’ve always felt safe there. There is a ton of parking or you could park down the road and take the Almaden Creek Trail into the park. There are even a few off leash parks close to Quarry Lakes (Shinn’s Pond). I’m at this park every morning and my Golden and I love it!

Great time to walk or ride with your pup. Just have to be careful of the waters wev had issues with blue great Algee.
