Contrary to what has been posted on this site, Browns Point Lighthouse Park is NOT and has never been an off-leash park. Many dog fights here, people, children, have been bitten, other dogs injured by off-leash dogs here. Pierce County law, dogs must be on leash.

From their website...so be careful you don't confuse park with the private parking lot sites.
Parking Lot: MPT does not have an ownership position in the two lots to the south of the Lighthouse property that the Brown's Point Improvement Club is on. The Browns Point Improvement Club only allows their parking lots to be used for BPIC events.

If you are not local it will be difficult to find the back entrance to the park. Follow La Hal Da Ave to the water, you will see the entrance tucked in on your left. This park is off leash from 6am to 9am so if your up and awake definitely go early. And please if you don´t live here don´t tell what the rules are for the park. If you don´t like it go somewhere else. This park is part of my backyard. All are welcome to enjoy.

We drove out there, there were gates up and signs stating it was for property owners.

Lovely and scenic. Right on Commencement Bay. A clean park with nice dogs and people.
Bring your own water, and bathroom is a outhouse.
