One of my more favorite places. Wear water shoes it’s an easily walkable river. Dog had the best time.

I love this park. It's beautiful, and has We absolutely love this park. It has lovely trails on both sides of the creek, and several nice spots to take a dip and cool off from the Texas heat. It’s also a great photo location. The landscape and limestone features are awesome, as are the historic wagon tracks through the riverbed. It’s also definitely a dog friendly park, but it’s posted as leashed-only at both entrances. Unfortunately very few dog owners follow this rule, and we regularly have unleashed dogs running up to and past us on the trails and in the creek bed. Fine for our pup who is pretty good at leashed introductions, but I know that’s not true for all dogs. It is in fact posted that the water may be unsafe due to bacterial or algae growth. Each time we’ve been, the water has been moving and not too green. Definitely something to be aware of, though. Don’t drink the stream.

Sounds like Mr. KevKev was having a bad day. I've been taking my dog to this park for nearly 2 years now and she has not once fallen ill from playing in the water. This park deserves a better rating than what shows. Poor KevKev couldn't give accurate information. Come on, Kevin.

Although there is plenty of room at this location, DO NOT let your dogs in the water! It is POSTED, dangerous, potentially diseased, and i9mpossible to keep an unleashed dog out of.
