    Tawas Point State Park

Unfortunately, the State Park system has prohibited dogs from the interesting trails that are beyond the campground complex. 40 years ago, this was a wonderful, natural area that I enjoyed with my dogs...now, of course, dogs are restricted to limited and poorly suited areas.

Perfect beach for dogs and family!

Large shallow warm water inside a bay. It’s more of a rustic beach with lots of water for your pup to play in or snooze in the shade.

    Perfect Day Trip

we spent a couple of hours here. the pet friendly beach was small due to high lake levels, but we found a great spot for the kids and the dog to play
