This beach was a dog haven. We happened to be driving by and came across this oasis for our golden retriever. Dogs are off leash and they were able to be truly free to do as they wish from running after tennis balls, hopping the waves in the ocean or chilling in the creek area. No see weed no rocks no trash. We highly recommend this beach to let your dog have one of the best days of their lives.

The Cape Ann Motor inn is also dog friendly and directly on the beach. They own the portion of beach in front of the hotel so dogs can use it year round as it is a private section, but it is a very small area and dogs are leashed only there from what I have seen. There is a concrete barrier/ board walk type thing for running and walking with your dog also. The ice cream shop up the street also does dog ice cream cups. If you go here, you cannot leave your dog unattended in the rooms. There is also a small area/park by the parking lot for your dog to toilet. Over all, this is a fantastic place, but please be sure to clean up after your well behaved dog and leash your pet so it’s not ruined for others and their pets.

We got to come here the week of Christmas last year. Met up with friends and their dog. What a beautiful walk! We went early morning but there were still a lot of folks out with dogs. Not everyone had their dogs on leash, so if your dog isn't good with meeting other excited beach pups, just watch out for that.
