    Well behaved dogs & owners

We absolutely loved this park. My lab has always been great with recall and hiking behavior but we’ve never been on a hike where you can trust the other dogs. The longer we hiked here the more I trusted the dogs around us. All the dogs were off leash and so friendly! This made for a MUCH more enjoyable hike. AND it seemed that everyone was picking up after their pups and keeping the place clean, which is another rarity. I hope things stay this way. If you’re reading this and your dog isn’t the best with a ton of other off leash dogs around then please try to build these skills before heading to this park!

    WORTH THE DRIVE!

We were apprehensive at first to tackle austin traffic from San Antonio, but we were not disappointed. We spent a few hours there and it was definitely worth the trip. Dogs all around, fun river crossings, and really friendly people. We did have to use a towel afterward and next time I'll be bringing an extra pair of shoes because mine got soaked! Definitely looking forward to another visit soon.

    WET

My great dane loved the water crossings...He seemed to know the paths and where to go ( as he loves to lead), the tall trees give great shade and around dusk we heard toads and saw the fireflies.great water hole areas for my big boy to jump in and swim.We went post rain so our boots were muddy but content with how natural and lush the vegetation is along the trails. Not too far from Austin and worth the drive from San Antonio.

Favorite Place in the World...like a Fairy Land

Without a doubt the BEST Mom and Dig hiking trail in t the city. My dog loves the space and elevations to run and play on, playing with the other dogs along the way, and I get my exercise, hiking, too. We both LOVE IT!!!

    Dogs Dogs and More Dogs

My dogs loved this trail. It crosses seven low water crossing. The trail does have some elevation changes but not too bad. There are dogs everywhere. The trail is about 3 miles long and took us about 2.5 hours to complete. You need to bring towels to clean your dogs off and yourself.
