NOT pet friendly in all areas

The park ranger happily took our fee and commented on how cute our dogs were, but never once mentioned dogs were not welcome on any of the trails, look outs or federal buildings. Do not go and expect to have a nice walk with you fur baby.

Shark Valley in Everglades National Park

Great for people but not for Dogs. We didn't have much time so we stopped for about an hour. The Senior Park pass makes short visits like this affordable. Also there is RV parking. The parking lot was full of cars so we had to wait for cars to leave before they would let the cars in ahead of us. I don't no why they didn't let us by the cars because the RV parking was open and it is next to the Ranger Station so they could see the openings. If you only have time for for a short walk go down the (right) side next to the water. Lots of wildlife, birds, turtles and of course Alligators. The tram ride looked great also it would be an easy bike ride if you have time. Reminder no pets are allowed out of the parking lot and they will not let you run the generator to keep the RV cool. SO if it warm and sunny pets are not a good idea.
