Fort Stevens Camp Ground is dog friendly. Lots of trails, space and other people with dogs. We did see Elk and heard a pack Coyotes super close. I would keep your dog on a leash and bring them in your tent or camper at night. Peter Iredale shipwreck beach was cool. We had fun running and playing in the Ocean. Lots of other dogs, but enough space to have your space. I would go to the right of the beach, because cars are allowed on the beach to the left of the shipwreck. You do have to keep your dog on a leash, but we did play off leash when we were playing near the ocean.
Fort Stevens Military fort allowed dogs to visit the historical fort, but you do need to keep your dog on a leash.
Great location for the whole family!!! - MarinaJun 26, 2022Good spot!
I love to bring my dog here. if you go left, it’s driveable so be cautious going that way. if you go right, no vehicles are allowed there so it’s a safer spot to bring dogs who don’t do well with vehicles around. it’s a rainy area, so dress warmly/waterproof and check the weather ahead!
