three pit bulls attacked our dog putting our dog in the hospital with puncture wounds. Park rangers did absolutely nothing to help us. Never coming back to this place again.

I am familiar with the trails and drive past the area every day. it’s beautiful with nice trails however this place has been known for years to be infested with ticks. if you go please be sure to make sure your dog has flea and tick preventative and be sure to check both them and yourself when you leave. I have chosen not to take my guy there for this reason.

With several miles of well groomed trails, the refuge has been a great place to take my Goldens for a walk. Very scenic and friendly atmosphere.
