- KathyMore than a year agoHilly hike for your dog
Fremont Older has strict leash laws and I've heard many have been ticketed.
Other than that, it's a nice relatively easy day hike with great views of the South Bay.
Heavily traveled and not much parking. - StephanieApr 15, 2018Fun hike with a view
There are trails of various difficulties so you can choose ones to suit you and your pup. On the weekend parking is quite crowded so be prepared to hike to the park as well. There are both shady and full sun trails . At the summit you can see the whole bay. It’s very pretty. No water is provided for dogs so bring water for them .
- TonyMore than a year agoNice local trail with views
I've been taking my dog here for over a year. Multiple trails that are dog friendly on leash with wonderful views of the south bay. Be ready to hike a little as some of the trails can be a little tough. They do allow bicycles on some trails but most people are respectful and safe. The bad is that the parking lot is very small and gets full quick (I usually park out on the street if it gets full down the road). There are absolutely no trash cans so pack all your trash. (The city should address this considering the covered parking is brand new)... The only bathroom is a Port-o-potty. Otherwise besides a few of the downsides it's a very nicely maintained tail with a wilderness feeling but at the same time in the back yard of the south bay.
