This is a great hike for both Fido and parents! Just beautiful 🐾
- EmilyMar 13, 2022We loved it!
There were a lot of people there today, and about half of them had dogs! There were a lot of trail options and it was all extremely dog friendly! They didn’t have any waste stations so make sure to bring bags and prepare to carry them out. If your dog is anything like mine, he will poop at the back of the preserve and you’ll have to tote it alllll the way out, but they did have a trash can at the start of the trail so that’s nice!

We often go hiking here and it helps that it is very pet friendly. My children love it because of the rocks and my pets love the stream.

My five month old labrador mix loved walking the trails and wadding around in the little streams. Great place to bring your dog.

Very nice area with a lot of features: boulder fields, slopes, plants, moving water. There are rules that dogs have to be leashed, but we encountered several that were not. While I understand the attraction in letting the hounds run free, it does make for some tense moments. We had no major issues with loosed dogs, but my pups were not comfortable with unrestrained canines. It really detracted from a pleasant afternoon. While I get it, that some owners are confident in their dogs behavior, an unleashed dog suddenly appearing and being aggressive even in a friendly way, can cause stress to other dogs, owners and other people. As it appears that the rules are not strictly enforced or followed, I would hesitate to return. Summary: the natural beauty is superb, once agin it's people who can ruin it for others to enjoy.

I took my furry 4 legged baby here and we had a blast! He loved running around the huge rocks , playing in the creek , and making new friends. it's a great place to go hiking with your pooch for great exercise and great fun!

My 3 months old Siberian Husky is very active and loves leaves, trees, birds, plants, people, other dogs,, pretty much everything excites him and interests him. He and I took a hike to Moss Rock Preserve on a hot summer weekday and because there weren't too many people, I didn't have to worry about him pulling me to get closer to them. And he really enjoyed walking on leaves and smelling plants. He generally hates water and although he was hesitant for few minutes, he played and played and ran around and played some more in and around the water falls. He jumped around getting all his paws and lower body wet and drank some and splashed some. He was having a BLAST! And then, we climbed on some rocks to cool off. It was very beautiful and well kept and we had a great time!!

This trail is a very nice and easy trail for dogs and pups. I have a 3 month old Hound/Retriever that enjoys exploring and running the trails. We encountered a deer, squirrels, chipmonks and other friendly people and pups on our most recent visit.
