Two areas, one dirt and one grassy with lots of room. Went there mid-day with two adults, two kids and one fur baby. Waste bags and a working water station are available. The dog park is clean, but in a secluded area and was empty when we visited. We were approached by a man that came in alone without a dog and kept coming until my German shepherd stepped in. I'd suggest either going with a group or on a busy day and increased park service patrols.

Two fenced areas: one with (real) grass and the other with dirt. No designated small dog/big dog areas.
Very well kept dog park. The grassy area is closed every Wednesday for maintenance. Lots of seating for pet owners, and many pet owners bring their own chairs, so there's always seating. Available pooper scoopers, poop bags, and water for Fido.
Some owners don't pay attention to their dogs as intently since they're frequent goers & have no problems with their dogs, but it often results in poop in the grass that hasn't been picked up, so watch your step if you run around in the grass with your dog!
Many owners have been going to this park for years and are quite knowledgable and friendly.
Parking fee is $6/day or you can get an annual County Parks permit to support the parks. Military yearly passes are also avilable, but you have to obtain them at the office in Vasona Park.
