Floki could join us all over the park (except inside - which is just common sense!) the rangers were awesome and he even got his BARKranger certificate ❤️❤️

So much for our pup and his humans to do and explore! Very dog friendly.

- WhiskeyJan 6, 2023Nice trails, happy pup
Stopped here when passing through on a road trip, enjoyed the trails and being able to move around after hours in the car. Signage for the trails could be improved, but overall nice park.

Lots of great dog friendly restaurants and businesses in this town! We went in the middle of June and it was very hot. I would recommend taking this trip in early spring or fall to help prevent doggie dehydration. The heat is my only complaint! :)

Great little hike with awesome views along the way!
- JillSep 5, 2021Lots of trails
we didn’t get to see much of the park but we enjoyed hiking a few trails and taking in the downtown area. we saw many dogs out there having a good time just like ours did!
- NicholasJul 5, 2021Very dog friendly park
Dogs welcome almost everywhere except in the museum. Lamar bathhouse store allows dogs and love them. We only hiked the peak trail but enjoyed it. Drove up both mountains and spend some time at their Bark ranger celebration event.
- DiannaSep 16, 2020Great place for the Whole family
We didn’t do any of the more strenuous trails, but we enjoyed the easier trails with the dog, and we took some of the scenic drives with the windows down for all to enjoy the fresh air. With so many pet friendly restaurants along Bathhouse Row, it was easy to make a day of activities.
- LauraAug 11, 2020Great Trails
Good trails and easy for the dogs to join us. We spent the weekend doing a few different trails and it was nice to hike with the pups then head into town straight from some of the trails for refreshments at many dog friendly places nearby. This is definitely a place you can bring your fur babies with you and not worry about leaving them behind. very dog friendly area.
- DaileenMay 26, 2019Beware of ticks
This is a cool place to go however, at the end of our 3 hr hike we spent the rest of the afternoon picking out hundreds of ticks out of our furr baby and a few off of us. We ended up having to purchase tick shampoo to finish them off. This put a dent into our weekend get away. Now we are afraid to explore more parks.
- JohnJun 12, 2018Fun day and a picnic
Great NP with wonderful views. We had a picnic on the mountain top and saw 2 Does with fawns. Small bust very nice park with scenic views and trails.

Beautiful views, nice trails with varying degrees of difficulty, very dog-friendly National Park. Went in late April and trails had few visitors. We hiked 6.7 miles and did both Hot Springs Mountain and West Mountain in the same day.

Great place to hike with the our dog. Connected Goat Rock, Gulpha Gorge, Hot Springs Mountain, and Upper Dogwood trails for a perfect morning hike. The Grand Promenade and Bathhouse Row are a nice short 20-30 minute stroll.
