Carpinteria State Beach
Carpinteria State Beach offers a mile of beach for swimming, surf fishing, tidepool exploring, and camping. Although dogs are not allowed on the beach, there is a great picnic area where they can join you for lunch and to stretch their legs. As far as wildlife goes, seals and sea lions can be seen in the area from December through May, as well as an occasional gray whale.

Nice boardwalk with lovely views. Dogs allowed on that and in campground. NOT on beach itself.?
