South Yuba River State Park
South Yuba River State Park in Penn Valley, CA is a pet-friendly area that spreads across a 20-mile section of river. The park goes from Malakoff Diggins State Historic Park on the east to the Bridgeport covered bridge in the west, the longest single span bridge in the country. Leashed dogs are allowed on all trails and shoreline areas of South Yuba River State Park, except the area known as Family Beach. Dogs are not permitted from the covered bridge at Bridgeport, 200 feet downstream on both sides of the river.
