Council Grove State Park
Council Grove State Park in Missoula, MT, is dog friendly. The park is home to stunning pines, grassy fields by the park picnic area, and cottonwoods along the Clark Fork that can all be explored by dogs and their owners. Pooches will also love the pet-friendly trails that are dotted around the park. Dogs are required by law to be on leash at all times no greater than eight feet in length. Council Grove State Park also falls under the Primitive Parks act, meaning there are little to no services onsite, so there are no dog waste bags and no trash cans. Members of the public are required to pack in and pack out all waste and trash.
