Rye Patch State Recreation Area

Dogs are welcome to join their owners at Rye Patch State Recreation Area in Lovelock, ND. With 72 miles of shoreline around a 22-acre reservoir, plenty of trails around and throughout the park allow visitors to spot wildlife. In addition, the reservoir itself is ideal for water-based activities. Dogs are welcome throughout the park if they are on a leash. Note that there is an entry fee for the recreation area.     Nice stop on way to Salt Lake City

    Two camping areas and some picnic spots. We suv camped near the river on left side of dam. Hiked along reservoir and hillside. Water low but saw boater and fishing along shore. Basic but nice, only $20, and good shower.
