Cascade Mountain
Cascade Mountain is a pet-friendly destination in Lake Placid, NY. Some trails in the upstate require your furry friends to be carried over certain creeks or craggy outcrops, but all dogs can enjoy this trail to the 36th-highest of New York's Adirondack High Peaks. Fido must remain on a leash during your adventure.

We hiked up with our 8 1/2 year old lab mix passing well over a dozen other dog owners on our way up and back. The summit was breath-takingly beautiful of course as are most of the Adirondack high peaks. This one is listed as being one of the easiest but don't let that word fool you, it's still a few miles of elevation change, around 2200 feet total. We loved it and our dog did too.
