Allamuchy Mountain State Park

Visit the dog-friendly Allamuchy Mountain State Park in Stanhope, NJ. There are several miles of trails to explore with your pooch along the Musconetcong River, with some of the best trout fishing in the state to boot. Most of the trails crisscross through the forests and marshlands of the park. Dogs must be on a leash for the duration of their visit and all mess should be cleaned up after them. Visit Website

Much to explore
There are a few trails here that range from very hard to very easy. The blue trail takes you to a cool overlook (picture). It also has a yellow trail that brings you deep into the state park, or a easy going trail that is part of the Sussex branch trail. There is convenient parking all over too.
