- DanielleOct 4, 2023Great location!
The lodge rooms are dated, small, and do not have mini fridges or microwaves; however, our room was very clean and the staff was very friendly. There was a nice, well lit place for my dog to do her business.
The lodge restaurant is not dog friendly but there is a nice patio area with a great view where you can eat if you get your food as takeout.
The location of our room was a little noisy as we were close to an exterior door but it wasn’t that bad.
Lots of hiking trails begin right here at the lodge just watch out for copperheads. We ran across one during our hike and decided that was enough.
Definitely would stay again!

My dog loves going here every time. Highly recommend taking your dog!

You can take your dog down to the observation area for Cumberland Falls, but we were excited to do the 2 mile Eagle Falls hiking trail, only to get to the trailhead and be greeted by No Pets Allowed signs. Not really sure why I can't hike with my leashed dog there, but we didn't want to risk a ticket from DNR. Very disappointed the whole park isn't dog friendly.
