- BrunoFeb 24, 2024Great spot for winter fun with your pooch
Three adults and our dog enjoyed a day of snowshoeing on the beautiful trails at Bear Notch in February 2024. All trails are dog friendly, but humans must be on XC skis or snowshoes and have a trail pass (available at the White House as you enter the parking lot). Warming hut is also dog friendly & a nice rustic spot for a brown bag lunch. Trails will vary slightly depending on snow conditions, so keep the map handy. Some trails (XC) are marked better than others (snowshoe) too. Overall a nice inexpensive spot for winter fun with your dog.

I was looking for a cross country ski location where I could bring my dog. This was the best location I could find in the area. Well groomed trails and run by a very friendly couple. My dog had the time of his life. It was exactly what I was looking for!
- Rudy the DogMore than a year agoBeautiful trails and couldn't be better for dogs
This family-run ski touring center couldn't have better. They allowed our Black Lab / German Shepherd Mix into the rental center and warming house. He even got to hang out and play in the snow while we took our lesson. Dogs are allowed off-leash on all 65km of trails. We saw lots of happy dogs. As far as the touring center is concerned, we are beginning skiers, so I don't have much to compare this with, but I can't imagine other trails being much more beautiful. They were groomed beautifully, and the the scenery and setting was quintessential old-school New England. We'll make this an annual trip.
