  Not only was the staff delightful, and the drinks yummy, but the staff were wonderful to our golden, Frankie. They all came over to give her a pet. Will absolutely return, even if it's just for Frankie Jane to come see her new friends.

  Great Selection

  From whiskey to rum to vodka, and moonshine, everything was delicious. Definitely do the free tasting! The pups got treats while we got tipsy.

  We had an amazing experience at City Gate Spirits! They were so kind and welcoming to us and our two pups. we were able to sample so many new flavors all with our pups by our side. This was a great indoor and air conditioned place to visit with our pups!

  Pet friendly and free tasting!

  Found this place walking around st-george street and saw « free tasting » so of course we wanted to check it out and found out they are pet friendly! our dog was following us throughout our tasting that was very interesting. everything was distilled on spot and staff was very friendly with us and our dog!

  Delicious!

  City Gate Spirits is a wonderful distillery located in the historic district of St. Augustine. We were warmly greeted at the door, and our pup had a nice bowl of water. The tour involves 3 different stations including vodka, rum, and moonshine. We learned the history of the facility and how the products were made. Everyone was super nice to our pup, and some of the patrons even took pictures with him. He adored the attention! Best of all the tour is free! Of course, we then spent lots of money buying moonshine, rum and the fantastic mixer to recreate their drinks. Thank you City Gate Spirits for making our day even better! You should be very proud of your staff! Highly recommend this spot!

  The spirits here are out of this world and they were more than happy to welcome us in with our dog. He was spoiled rotten with treats and pets. Our only regret is not buying more booze!

  Delicious spirits

  A friend and I were strolling through historic St. Augustine Monday afternoon with our 2 goldens and noticed a woman wearing a City Gate shirt standing at the door of the distillery, looking longingly at our pups, beckoning us to come over so she could love on them so of course we obliged. After chatting for a few minutes we got set up for the tasting while the dogs chilled. We got to try Pineapple, Spiced Orange & Tropical Rums, Sweet Tea Vodka and Apple Pie Moonshine, all served perfectly chilled. They were all delicious, the Tropical Rum tasted like a Pina Colada minus the cream and you could taste all the sweet, creamy elements of the Apple Pie Moonshine. All of their spirits are made with all natural flavors and on the sweet side which is what I prefer but word to the wise, they pack a punch. We checked out the distilling process and ended each buying a bottle of the Sweet Tea Vodka, Spiced Orange Rum & Apple Pie Moonshine - if you buy 5 you get 1 free plus they pack them up in canvas totes with bottle dividers and they even held them in the office for us so we didn't have to lug them through town. Can't wait to share with hubby (or not lol) when I return to Baltimore.
