Reviews
Visitors generally find the Dog Park at Cactus Wren Park to be a suitable, well-equipped, and often uncrowded space for their pets. Some travelers, however, note that the park can be empty at times, making it less engaging for their active dogs.

The 3 separated areas were beneficial as one had an aggressive dog so our pup could safely stretch his legs in another area. Mostly dirt but a decent size.
- SimFeb 27, 2020Good location. Empty park
I came once when my regular park was temporarily shut down. It was a Wednesday about 5:30pm end of February. Generally beautiful day, weather is warming up, staying lighter longer.
It was dead.
There was one other small dog for a brief minute and then two large dogs that went to the large dog area. My dog isn’t interested in empty parks. He constantly looked around for other dogs to play, making the trip to this park pretty much useless for us.
It’s a decent enough park. The small dog section is very small. The larger dog section is pretty big. The All dogs section is a good size. The grass was sparse but that doesn’t bother either of us. But having a decent park that’s empty is just about pointless.
It is adjacent to nice walking paths so if you have to take your active dog on a more interesting walk, there is that option.
I’d say save yourself the trip or go to Sunset dog park. - LanceNov 25, 2019Great Park
The park has 3 separate areas (small, large, and all dogs). Been there a few times since moving to town and have had nothing but great experiences. Park also has a trail around the skatepark and baseball field where you can walk the pups.

Brought my pup (6y/o JRT) while on a road trip pit stop here to stretch her legs out and throw her ball a couple times. Came on a Saturday in the morning. Not crowded. Nicely shaded and as a ‘road tripper passerby’ I feel safe... would recommend.

Not big, not small. 3 areas for different sizes of dogs. No big dogs to play with and a little tucked away.
- RachelMore than a year ago3 different sections near a kids park
Loved this park! It has 3 different parks (small dogs, large dogs and any dogs) which was nice since we have one of each and they could play together. Each has a grassy area, a place to sit (not always shaded) and bags for clean up. There was a water fountain, but we had our own bowls and just filled those. It was also near a playground and skate park (across a baseball field) so our kids could play as well.
