Very nice set-up here. 3 separate areas all with water buckets and doggie wading pools. The large dog area is big enough to throw a ball from a launcher and let the pup stretch his legs, the small dog area and separate "aggressive dog" area are each large enough to give the pup room to play without feeling confined. All 3 areas are separated by chain-link privacy fencing to help avoid the fights that can happen when dogs are on either side.

It is unfortunate to write a one star review for a dog park. We are full time RV travelers and have a 5 month old labradoodle. We have exposed him to many parks and love finding new parks to explore. Our first visit we were yelled at by an older lady because our pup splashed a bucket of water to cool off. Her response “Control your dog!”. I don’t know what her problem was, we filled up the water again but there were about 20 buckets of water spread through the park and mud was everywhere due to this excess amount of buckets. We gave the park a second shot another day later. Again our pup splashed water and the older man near him took that same bucket of water and completely dumped it over our dog! Wow, I have never had such a poor experience at a dog park. Later in the week we took our dog to another fenced in park in Sedona. It was a wonderful place to explore and let the dogs play. Ironically another person we chatted with at this dog park had a very similar experience at Cottonwood. As a traveler we have been to many parks, over 40 states in 4 years ( all with our prior dog) and this was the first negative experience.

My dogs loved it! Lots of dishes and a hose to fill them. Shade trees with chairs and benches. A small wading pool too!

Useful to have your google map on to find the turn off to the park, dirt road is the first left after the ball fields. Well maintained grass even in August with two water stations and kiddie pools to cool off. Three sections, one for smaller dogs, one for your dog learning to socialize and the main area. There are trees for shade and many lawn chairs to relaxing. We had a great visit. Since the state park on the same road requires dogs on leashes, great option to give the pups a chance to run.

Most map software will send you wrong. Its off of 10th, go past riverfront park toward the state park, its on the left after the baseball fields. Dirt / gravel road, not marked - set off the road. Huge dog park with 3 separate fenced areas, all accessible from a central "hall". Several water pumps, and plenty of buckets for water "bowls", and a couple kiddie pools. Plus chairs for humans. Lots of regulars who are friendly and welcoming.

We are greyhound folks and we love to romp, but we need an isolated play area to stay safe. This park permits us a nice large grassy area to play in where we don't have to worry about running over little dogs or being accidentally hurt (greyhounds have very thin skin!) by exuberant playmates!
