Walnut Canyon National Monument

Walnut Canyon National Monument is pet-friendly in Flagstaff, AZ. The area is home to ancient Native American cliff dwellings and is 20 miles long and 400 feet deep, which holds an abundant mix of plants and animals. You and your pooch can explore the Rim Trail, the monument's main attraction, but some other areas restrict dogs due to local wildlife. Be sure to keep Fido on a leash as you explore. Visit Website

    Dogs aren’t allowed on the majority of trails

    As the title says, dogs aren’t allowed in the majority of the monument. If you want to actually see the historic places, don’t bring your dog with you as you won’t be allowed in those areas. Have to stay on paved trail by the visitor center.
