- DebbieMore than a year agoBeautiful lake, relaxing
I took my two dogs (4 yr old Jack Russell female and 5 yr old Australian shepherd male) and two sons (12 and 19) to this park for a getaway to the country, to walk the dogs and sit by the lake, and we were not disappointed. There is a lovely deck overlooking the lake, with a couple of benches to sit and enjoy the view. There are also some docks and a boat ramp, my dogs enjoyed running around in the water on the ramp (there was no one there, so we weren't in the way of any boaters). There was some interesting reading material at the ranger station (closed on our visit) including ice-fishing info and safety rules. Another bonus was composting toilets, nice to see the park being green. My older son has raves for the beauty of the lake and trees, my younger son reveled in the fresh air and open space. Lots of grass and trees to enjoy, lots of parking.
