Holston River Weir Dam

Holston River Weir Dam, also known as South Holston Tailwater Trails, is a pet-friendly recreation area that's home to multiple trail loops along the river that range from 0.2 to 1.8 miles. The relatively flat area has ample parking and welcomes leashed, well-behaved dogs to explore the trails alongside their owners, as long as they are cleaned up after to preserve the cleanliness of the water. Fun Sunday hike
We enjoyed our Sunday family hike. We parked near the dam and even though it was busy, we were able to park and it didn’t feel crowded. Multiple options. We did the 1.8 mile loop and it was well marked. See the map near the bridge. Recommend.
